Dr. Sarah Berg
Dr. Sarah Berg grew up in Bedford, Texas with her three sisters and one brother. She graduated from L.D. Bell High School with Honors. She was also a member of The Raiderette Drill Team and the Acappella choir.
She majored in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M University and graduated Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Berg attended Optometry School at the University of Houston graduating with honors. She completed her externships at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Spokane, Washington and Plaza Vision Center in Dallas, Texas.
Her training at the VA Hospital emphasized ocular disease including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and cataracts. She studied under Dr. Clark Newman at Plaza Vision Center with an emphasis on corneal diseases including keratoconus. Here she had extensive training on contact lens fittings for diseased corneas and other hard-to-fit eyes.
Dr. Berg enjoys traveling, camping, singing, playing with her dog, Scout, church, and many other outdoor activities.
